Our Mission…Is to help you

Live abundantly through good mental health

Stress, anxiety, and the lingering impact of trauma can be draining and leave little energy to explore or pursue what brings joy and meaning to your life. As your mental health improves so does the ability to live your life to the fullest. We are here to help. We offer integrative, trauma-informed, and spiritually-informed emotion-focused therapy to help you connect, heal, and thrive.

Our Approach

Our approach is integrative

While we tend to focus on helping you identify and process the painful emotions that are keeping you stuck in distress and unhelpful patterns, we also integrate cognitive and behavioral interventions tailored to your needs. We believe you are the expert of your experience while we offer expertise in the process of therapy. Therefore we will work with you to find interventions and tailor our approach to fit you, your needs, and your preferences.

We help you break free from painful emotions

Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a proven approach for many mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and relationship issues. This therapeutic approach prioritizes getting in touch with adaptive emotions as the key to overall well-being and better relationships. Your therapist will first foster a strong therapeutic relationship with and work to understand your needs and goals for therapy. Your therapist will also help you process vulnerable and maladaptive emotions that underlie your current distress. As these painful emotions are released, more adaptive emotions come to the fore, giving you relief and helping you make meaning from difficult experiences. Even though we focus on emotional experiencing, we realize not everyone is in touch with their emotions. Emotion-focused therapy also works for individuals who cannot identify what they feel, feel emotionally numb, or for others who “feel too much.”

Our therapy is spiritually-informed

If you happen to be spiritual or religious, you don’t have to keep that important part of you away from therapy. Our therapists have extensive training and experience in integrating a client’s faith or spirituality into their care. Although we are Christians who are well versed in spiritual practices from Catholic and Protestant traditions, our approach to spiritually informed therapy helps our clients, if they so choose, to bring their own faith traditions and spirituality to the healing process.
